Last time out at Rise was Amazing! We had some brilliant live music from some of our young people, we played some fun and crazy games, another epic Lip Sync battle and we had an interview with one of our team.
Our night started with the Lip Sync Battle and two of our team were up against each other. Lewis lip synced to Queen "Another One Bites the Dust" and after a shaky start he had us all clapping along. Paul would have to be on top form to win this battle.
With some messy and crazy games up next, this got some of the young people up at the front chucking water at each other. Unfortunately there were no winners in our game of "In for a penny, In for a milkshake" this week. 3 young people got to the final but couldn't quite make it to 8 seconds.
Some excellent live music from Dan and Josh was up next which then led into an interview with one of our team. Dan Latham shared about how God is so important in his life and encouraged us to ask questions and find out more. God loves each one of us and wants us to talk to him.
With some more live music from Dan and Josh and a new game of "name it" where young people had to name items from a chosen category in time to the music but as the music got quicker, the pressure got higher. Some crumbled under the pressure but some excelled and even beat some of the team as Abi came out victorious.
Our 2nd Lip Sync Battle performance was upon us and Paul gave us an interesting rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake it off". With some support from Dan, Paul won the battle and was voted back for next month's final Lip Sync Battle of the year.
If you missed out, get yourselves there for our Last Rise on July 17th @North Perk 7-9pm. We are having a Summer Party so be prepared.
